Rejuvenating Fall Activities

Rejuvenating Fall Activities

There's something magical about the fall season that just makes you feel refreshed. The leaves changing color, the cool breeze in the air, and pumpkin flavored everything all seem to work together to create a sense of calmness. If you're looking for ways to enjoy the fall season, look no further! In this blog post, we'll be discussing some fun and rejuvenating activities to do during this time of year. So read on and get inspired!

 1. Play (with your kids) in a pile of dry leaves.

Who says you can't go out and play since you're a grown-up? Allow yourself to feel like a youngster once more. Playing with your little ones fuels imagination, problem-solving abilities, and creativity. In adults, playing helps to relieve stress and keeps you feeling young and energetic. A good quote by George Bernard Shaw said that "we don't stop playing because we are old, but we get old because we stop playing."

2. Cook dinners with fall vegetables.

You're aware that it’s important to get more veggies into your eating regimen, and fall is an ideal time! Squash, cauliflower, yams, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts are all at their best during fall. Even if all you make is roasted veggies, we'll count it! Food rich in Vitamin D gives your body the calcium needed to build stronger bones. Teachers definitely need healthy bodies, and Vitamin D to strengthen bones and support their immune system!

3. Change your wardrobe.

Probably the best thing about fall is the cooler crisp temperatures, which means it's sweater weather! If your sweatshirts look more pilled than comfortable, indulge yourself with a couple of new fall staples. Feeling warm and cozy can make you happy!

4. Pull out our favorite novel and read it again.

Get comfortable with some hot tea and fluffy socks, and tear open your favorite book. Reading and relaxing reduces stress. Try to spend 30 minutes a day reading as it lowers the heart rate and blood pressure, just like yoga and humor would do!

5. Get enough rest.

Exploit that additional hour from the sunlight, and catch up on your rest. Go all out with an extravagant bedtime schedule that incorporates clean sheets, a hot shower, and a facial treatment (ahh, paradise). At the end of the day, it is important to love on yourself and appreciate the work that you do for others. This is the best time to thank your body and refresh for a new day.

6. Get creative and work with your hands.

Working with your hands and getting imaginative are two extraordinary ways of animating your brain, de-stress and value how intelligent you are. Get creative with upcoming holiday crafts, DIY home projects, or simply fun creative activities like pumpkin carving!

7. Learn something new.

Fall is a great time to learn something new. There are hundreds of things to do in the fall, from exploring different fall recipes to perfecting your photography skills with the gorgeous changing colors outside. So, whether you're interested in learning about fashion, cooking, or art, be sure to try something new this fall. Who knows, you might just find your new favorite hobby!

8. Find running mates.

Fall is a much cooler time to run outdoors than the summer, so why not start now? Find some friends or family that would enjoy a run (or walk), and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the changing tree colors while you get some exercise. Exercising outdoors is a great way to help you rejuvenate mind, body, and spirit during the fall season.

9. Do a "simple win" exercise.

Instead of challenging yourself with an inconceivable exercise regime, set out to accomplish "simple win" exercises that you know you can finish, and give your certainty a lift. Maybe you choose to complete a few sets of pushups, situps, or just give yourself a time goal to hit. Exercise benefits you with building strength, which is needed to keep fit during teaching, and feeling proud of yourself will build your confidence!

10. Make time for yourself.

Dedicate time to rest and enjoy your personal interests! Get a Teacher Care Crate subscription for yourself, or give a surprise to a teacher-friend! Teacher Care Crate is a monthly subscription box for teachers filled with teacher self care goodies, because you can't fill from an empty cup!  Avoid teacher burnout & practice self care for teachers with Teacher Care Crate. Our Crate makes the perfect gift for yourself or gift for teacher coworkers, teacher survival kit gift, cute teacher appreciation gift, easy teacher gift, teacher friend gift & more!

Conclusion

The fall season is a great time to rejuvenate your spirit. As deserving teachers, you should be sure to use your free time for relaxing and rewiring, no matter how you choose to enjoy it. Make the time to try these activities, and enjoy your fall season!
