9 Free Acts of Self-Care for Teachers

  1. Go for a walk. Even if it’s cold or rainy, moving your body and getting outside will improve your mood.

  2. Take a deep breath. Or a few!

  3. Drink water.

  4. Take a bath. Sure, a fancy bath bomb is nice, but plain hot water will do the trick too!

  5. Go to bed early. I know it can be hard to make yourself stop working, but rest truly is productive. You can’t function properly without enough sleep.

  6. Make your bed.

  7. Stretch.

  8. Read for pleasure.
